Gaza Wartime Memories

Wartime memories.

I would like to share with you what I wrote during the latest war on Gaza.
Mom, I Can Help You!
In a very lightening dark night, a Gazan fetus asked his mother, “What are these sounds, mom.” His mother hesitate what to say. She thought about telling him she is watching a horror film on CBC with her two-year fetpanicked and was about to die due to the deafening sound of the explosion. “Mom, what was that? Are we in 1948? Are we inside the film? Well, that’s amazing we are on-screen” The mother was busy crawling to escape from the fire in the house. SIGHS.
It was a very awful scene in that house. The fetus was too lucky not to see his father cut into pieces. His two-year
old child. She replied, “Oh, baby. I am just watching Rambo fighting the Israeli thugs in 1948.” Suddenly, a mortar shell fell down on the house. The older brother was hung on the clothes hanger. The fetus was struggling to breathe. His mother was screaming and calling for help. “Mom, I am here. Tell me what you need. I can help you” the fetus said. The fetus didn’t realize what happened. He thought his mother was in the kitchen frying eggs for his little brother and that it was his father banging the door after come home from work.
The ambulances arrived at the scene. Now, it was the first time he ever heard this siren voice. “Mom, stop running fast. It hurts me. Where are we going?” She couldn’t reply. The ambulance tried to take them to the nearest hospital. Unfortunately, it arrived late because Israelis bombarded a house in the way to the hospital which prevented the ambulance from moving forward. The mother died.
The ambulance driver thought of taking another road to the hospital. After half an hour, they arrived. The doctors notice that the mother is pregnant. Knowing she has died, they decided to open her abdomen to see if they can save the fetus soul. “God! He is dead,” said the doctor.
It is outrageous that a human being is count dead before seeing the sunlight. The fetus, fortunately, left us a letter. It is an indignant letter to be sent to all people of the world. He wrote with his blood pen,
“Mr. World! I am very sorry if I represented a threat for your fetuses and children. I hope you sleep well after you take me out. But I want to tell you something you, for sure, don’t know. I am a Gazan fetus and hope that all people live dignity as you live in Europe and USA. I was eager to be born and to see the yellow color of the shining sun and the blue color of the sky and sea. I was planning to study in America, and maybe in Europe, despite all the facts of the siege imposed in Gaza before I exist in my mother’s womb. I hoped I get married to a beautiful blonde girl with blue eyes. Anyway, I don’t want to bother you speaking too much. Say hello to your kids and tell them to enjoy their times.”
Yours
Unborn innocent
